students from Hakodate's other schools such as
the University of Education, Future University Hakodate and other vocational schools,
and they now have 17 members. They take part regularly in events in the local community, and
last year started their own annual performance event. The second edition of their event
is on Sat 8 Decemeber, and we are sure that many people who catch them at the Puchi Fringe will be

Yasukawa Tomoyuki
Have you heard of "poetry boxing"? In a space modelled after a
typical boxing ring, two people read original poems in a battle to see who can
engage the audience the most. "Shi no boxing" started in
1997 and is becoming more and more popular. Yasukawa Tomoyuki
has appeared in the all-Hokkaido tournament
for three years running and is a pioneer of this new art. Will you be knocked out by the power of his words?
Sound Create
"Sound Create" use computers to compose original
music. They are based around a student club at Future
University Hakodate, and have members with a wide range of
backgrounds. Recently, their music has been used by developers
of computer games, and their activities are rapidly
expanding. They sell their own original CDs, so why not get one?

(NELLIE from Studio Zero). MOMO is from Akita and NELLIE is
from Hakodate and together they form "MIX STYLE DANCE"。
MIX STYLE DANCE have performed at clubs and dance parties
in Hakodate, but this is a chance to catch their R&B and
FUNK showcase designed especially for the Fringe.
Nakamono Masaru
Nakamono Masaru has performed with his guitar all over Japan,
and now he is coming to the Hakodate Fringe. He heard about
our new event and said "Great! OK!". If we are lucky, we are
hoping for some encores after midnight.
Champagne Countdown
We are celebrating. Day 2 of the Puchi Fringe takes place on
Japan's Culture Day: Nov 3. So, we will have a champagne
countdown at the end of the Eiley's leg of the event. Give a welcome
to Culture Day with a glass of champagne on us. We will also be
celebrating bringing a fringe event to Japan, and the
skills displayed by all the performers on Day 1.
And More!
We are fielding expressions of interest all the time as people gradually hear about us. Our goal is to give opportunities for local people to advertise local events. So, expect updates here on performers, and also some tobi-iri sanka.
3rd (Sat) @ Infinity space Koharubiyori
All Day
FUN Photography Circle
This photography circle, from Future University Hakodate, take
pictures based on their individual inspirations and then
displays them energetically wherever they can. Just as a
Fringe Festival is non-curated (anyone can put on a show), the
FUN photo circle have put together an un-themed exhibit for
Koharu Biyori where the members have contributed based on what
they wanted to showcase.
Session 1, 15:00 - 18:00 Magic Special
Hakodate Close-up Magicians
This group of Hakodate musicians doesn't have fees or any particular rules. They have a monthly discussion meeting and an annual magic show. They are led by Daigo Takano, and he will be representing them at the Puchi Fringe. We think that Takano-san's amazing performances will open your eyes to a new Hakodate.

StudioSUN are a film-making group based at Future University
Hakodate. They collaboratively make all kinds of film including
both serious and comedy. They are always on the lookout for actors
and for opportunities to apply their skills to filming, screenplay,
and editing. Come and see one of their latest offerings:
"Subete Hitoshiku Nuritsubushite Kure-so", the story of
Wataru, a man who couldn't save his friend, and Maki,
a woman whose heart was empty. Wataru had chosen solitude,
Maki felt life had no meaning: what future did they find together?
